February 22, 2025 - ๐ Building Dreams, One Bed at a Time! ๐๏ธ
The Rotary Club of Peachtree City made an incredible impact today by joining Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) to build 36 beds in under two hours for children in need in Coweta & Fayette counties. With the vision of IPP Amy Benton, our club funded and built these beds alongside volunteers from the Rotary Clubs of Tyrone and Fayetteville. A total of over 45 Rotarians and 20 community members came together to make a difference.
The Need is Greater Than Ever
Even with 260,000+ beds delivered nationwide, the need is staggering:
๐ 1 million applications for beds have been submitted
๐ 200 local children are still on the waitlist
๐ 62.4% of requests come from single-parent households
๐ 6.1% are from families transitioning from homelessness
๐ 1.35% are foster families providing stable homes
๐ 82.4% of families earn less than $52,000 annually

A bed is more than just a piece of furnitureโitโs a place where a child can rest, dream, and grow.
