HIS LEGACY LIVES FOREVER by Mandy Timmons
February 26, 2025 - Honoring the Life of Captain Tise Eyler ⚓
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of PTC Rotarian and retired Navy Captain Tise Eyler. Born on January 16, 1934, Tise became a Rotarian on March 1, 1996, and joined our Peachtree City Rotary Club on October 3, 2020. While his time in our club was short, his impact was profound.
A proud U.S. Naval Academy graduate, Tise was always eager to share stories of his service and experiences. His deep love for our country shone through in his unwavering patriotism—we could always count on him to lead us in a heartfelt song to honor our military and our great nation.
Though his service took him across the East and West Coasts, with a tour in London as well, Georgia was always home. He was first introduced to Rotary after settling in Jekyll Island upon retirement, and we are grateful to have had him as part of our Rotary family here in Peachtree City the last 4 years.
Tise will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing and loving him. As we mourn his passing, we hold his beloved wife, Devy, and his family in our thoughts. We are grateful for the time we shared with him and the lasting legacy of service he leaves behind for us to carry forward.
Fair winds and following seas, Captain. ⚓💙 💛
