About Us
Rotary International was founded in Chicago, IL on February 23, 1905.  Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million members across 35,000 clubs.  We believe that we have a shared responsibility to unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities and in ourselves.  Our focus areas are promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene, saving mothers and children, supporting education and growing local economies.  We do this by providing service to others, promoting integrity, and advancing world understanding, goodwill and peace through our fellowship of business, professional and community leaders.

The Rotary Club of Peachtree City (PTCRC) was established in 1967 and is the oldest service club in Fayette County.  We have approximately 140 members.

We have participated in several international projects with Rotary Clubs in Guatemala, Puerto Rico, and Africa to provide educational support and clean water.  As a part of Rotary International, our club has played a key role in the eradication of Polio worldwide in all but the two remaining countries of Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The motto of Rotary International is “Service Above Self”.  This motto is something that each of our members represents in all aspects of our daily lives.  While there are significant impacts that we can make with financial support, we also desire to do hands-on projects with the organizations and individuals that we serve.

With previous fundraising efforts over the years through our Rotary Smart Directory, we are able to sustain our charitable giving / donations annually.  Members continue to donate to our Rotary Foundation as well.  The Rotary Foundation allows a significant portion of the money donated in our district to come back to our district to support grants  and projects.

Some of the key civic projects that the PTCRC has been involved in recent years includes the welcome sign at the highway 54 and 74 intersection, building the Arnold Cheek Line Creek Fishing Dock, the Howard Morgan Overlook and a historical display case at the Peachtree City Library.

We are all proud Rotarians and look forward to continuing in our efforts of service, financial donations and business leadership in the local community of Fayette County and the surrounding area.
