Youth Programs
Rotary believes in developing the next generation of leaders. Our programs help younger leaders build leadership skills, expand education and learn the value of service.
The Rotary Club of Peachtree City sponsors the following Youth Programs:
Interact Clubs bring together young people ages 12-18 to develop leadership skills and learn about the world through service projects and activities. Locally, we sponsor the following High School Interact Programs: Booth Middle School, Counterpane Montessori, The Foundry, McIntosh High School and Starrs Mill High School.
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is a leadership development program for young people who want to learn new skills, build their confidence, and have fun. Events range from one-day seminars to weeklong camps. We sponsor 1-4 attendees to this event each year held at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Georgia.
Rotary Youth Exchange builds peace one young person at a time. Students learn a new language, discover another culture, and truly become global citizens. Exchanges for students ages 15-19 are sponsored by Rotary clubs in more than 100 countries. We sponsor both an inbound and outbound student each year.
Youth & Peace in Action (YPA) is now the largest local peacebuilding initiative in the history of Rotary International with a public commitment of $500,000 to peace education, training and project mentoring for high school students, teachers and youth service club members.
Rotary Community Corps (RCC) in Peachtree City is a one-of-a-kind club. An RCC is made up of non-Rotarians who share our commitment to changing the world through service projects. Our local Peachtree City RCC is made up of developmentally different young adults in our community.
Laws of Life is conducted as a contest on character values and as and ethical literacy outreach program to high school students. The essay contest is simpatico with Rotary’s emphasis on education, values, high ethical standards and service to others, and has quickly become a signature program for Georgia Rotarians.
Be THE Voice provides K-12 schools with an innovative approach to creating a more inclusive school environment. Our peer-driven platform inspires students to 'Do what is right, not what is easy', by equipping them with the interpersonal skills to become a “voice” of kindness and inclusion within their schools and communities. We host this program at Booth Middle School.
